3M™ Food Services CFS717 Scale Reduction Filter
The 3M™ CFS717 inline filter system is designed to maintain hot beverage clarity, consistency, and full flavor as well as maintaining efficient brewing machine operations. Premium activated carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor associated with poor water quality. Built-in scale inhibition media reduces the ability of calcium and magnesium to precipitate on the brew equipment heating coils and boilers as hard scale, helping to reduce maintenance costs and
equipment down time.
The CFS517 is a popular inline filtration system alternative to the 560 and 570 water systems. It filters away sediments, odor & taste of chlorine, dirt, and rust. The cartridge is efficient in removing the deposition of scaling salts that often ruin water pipes and water-using kitchen appliances.
The cartridge is comprised of a granular activated carbon which is compressed in a block. The block performs the function of adsorbing the chlorine's taste & odor or any other chemical. The block is infused with a KDF media that removes heavy metals like Lead by oxidation or reduction. The cartridge has a filtration rating of 5 microns.
It has a capacity of 10,000 gallons. The flow rate is 1.3 gpm. The standard dimensions - 3.5 inch x 13 inch. The temperature range is 35° to 100° Fahrenheit and the maximum pressure is 125 lbs.
The CFS717 features both a 1/4" threaded inlet/outlet and supplied threaded connectors to convert to a 1/4" quick connect inlet/outlet connection.
